All thirty contestants have spent the last two weeks at the Hotel Regent and at the Exhibition Grounds undergoing rigorous training sessions of rehearsals, counseling on articulation, and diet in preparation for the final pageant Janaury 27, 2001. Many of the girls have taken to learning almost entire books of quotations in order to help them prepare for the question and answer session of the contest.
